ASA Announces Big Changes to Association

February 16, 2010

Last week the Association of Surgical Assistants made a formal announcement regarding the future of the organization and its membership. In order to become the only professional organization for all surgical first assistants regardless of credential, the ASA has called a new Board of Directors, adopted bylaws, and implemented a new dues structure. More changes are on the way and are sure to enhance our efforts to advance the profession.

Changes to NSAA Certification Eligibility

January 12, 2010

The National Surgical Assistant Association will continue to allow experienced CFA's, SA-C's, and OPA-C's to sit for the CSA certification exam through December 31, 2010. NSAA is discontinuing this route of certification after this date.
